KiLL To LiVe

“When pharaoh stubbornly refused to let us go, the Lord killed every firstborn in Egypt, both man and animal. This is why I sacrifice to the Lord the first male offspring of every womb, and redeem each of my first born sons. And it will be like a sign on your hand and a symbol on your forehead that the Lord brought us out of Egypt with his mighty hand.” Exodus 13: 15, 16.

One of the ugliest pictures to see is when there is a need to kill in order to live. One must to be eliminated or eradicated in order to survive. There is a saying that says, "it is better to sacrifice one than the death of a many." Are you in favor with this thought? Believe it or not, this is what happened to the people of God as He required.

In the Israel’s history, they offered sacrifices year after year of their animals’ firstborn. They sacrifice lambs for themselves in order to save themselves from the terror of Sin. This had been their practice started at the night they left Egypt. Once they had been slave in Egypt and could not able to free themselves from the hand of sufferings. They were locked up of slavery. However, God sent Moses as messenger of His good news to the Israelites that God is so concern to them (3:7) and He will bring them out from slavery to freedom unto the promise land.

In Egypt, the visible king of that world of slavery strove to hold them down into his reign from the plan of God. Until a time that God poured out his final judgment to Pharaoh that the firstborn of all his own died. In the other hand, the Israelites were safe and freed because of the sacrifice and blood of the lamp or goats of Israel was dependent onto no other than the blood of lambs or goats on their door post. They killed in order to live. This became the practice of Israelites as reminder of what how Gracious of their God unto them that by His power he saved them out from the hand of the king of slavery in Egypt. God wanted them to remember His love, Concerns, and power He had done unto them by that ceremonial activity. Actually, that ceremonial activity, pointed Christ, the Lamb of God.
without defect. The safety and life of

God wants us to remember his goodness, his power to liberate from the power of sorrow and sin, and his love and grace. Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, was killed and sacrificed because of our sins than the whole world will be lost forever, and his blood is our safety to live and have freedom from the power of the prince of darkness and sin, and have eternal life unto the promised new heaven and earth. Now, “the Just shall live by faith” (Rom.1 :17). What a great to thing to remember that Graciousness of God in Christ in every day life. He died in our instead!
